Our Beliefs

Church and Community is a cross-denominational charity holding to the historic creeds of the Christian church – creeds which unite Christians, reminding us of who we are and what we have in common.  We are only just starting out on our journey but we are focussing on doing three things:

CELEBRATE:
We want to celebrate all that Christians are doing by encouraging you to share your stories and examples of best practice.  This might be a great preach that you have heard or an effective way of reaching out to meet the social needs in your local community.  Your story might help somebody else to change lives and reading somebody else’s story might be just the encouragement that God wants you to have today.

CONNECT:
Trying to follow Jesus and serve those around you is not always easy and it can sometimes be a lonely place.  But you are not alone.  There are thousands of people who share your vision who can stand alongside you in the difficulties and rejoice alongside you when you see the change that your heart has longed for.  We want to help you feel part of the bigger picture so that we can all share resources, work together more effectively and provide support for each other – whether you are an individual Christian, a member of a local church or working within a Christian organisation.

Each of our dedicated pages features links to organisations that are committed to standing alongside you.  The Church and Community Network offers another opportunity for you to become part of a growing group of people who simply want to make a difference to the world the best that they can, in the strength of Christ and giving God the glory.  Please find out more about joining (link) the network if you think that this is something that would be of benefit to you.

We have expertise and experience that we can share with you.  As a new charity we want to contribute to the work of God’s Kingdom in any way that we can help you – we can offer preaching, teaching, training, resources, networking opportunities, specialist consultancy – all tailored to meet your specific needs.  We will do our very best to link you with somebody who can help through our expertise and partnerships with other Christian organisations or we will talk to you about how we can meet your challenge together.
